I'm away from my office today and since it's been six months since I launched this blog (!), I thought I'd share my very first post, where I explain what Glimsen is and why I started it. So here we go.
At Christmas last year, we received a present we didn't want: a problem. Within a few hours, a dirty, orange construction vehicle had invaded our yard, scooped down and churned up a large area of sod. What a mess.
It was an ordinary Tuesday morning a few springs ago. I was doing ordinary Tuesday morning things until I walked out of the garage and stopped short.. “Wow! Look at that!”
Normally, the coming of spring fills me with anticipation. But that year, grief and loss had been my companions for some time. My soul ached for relief.
