Glimsen. A Glimpse | A Glimmer | of Beauty

Next week is the one-year anniversary of Glimsen. That means I’ve written roughly 100 blog posts related to some type of beauty. Looking up at the Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah and finding more than I expected. I love the cloudy blue sky, the verdigris steeple, and the jet stream that mirrors it.

Looking up at the Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah and finding more than I expected. I love the cloudy blue sky, the verdigris steeple, and the jet stream that mirrors it.

I am a fair-weather walker. I don’t like to exercise outside when it’s cold, other than to run from the car to a toasty warm interior of some sort. But when the weather is above, say, 60 degrees, I enjoy walking outside.

Early morning at the Kehoe House, Savannah.

Beauty is all around us, but we often don’t see it because we are in a hurry or our surroundings are too familiar. When you travel, do you find yourself noticing things you probably wouldn’t notice at home?...

Our Days in Dublin

June 27, 2017 LeAnne Martin

After several beauty-filled days in west Ireland, we left for Dublin. On the way, we stopped at the ruins of a monastery and holy site called Clonmacnoise, an awkward but fun word to say...

The Views of Ireland

Cliffs of Moher. The less photographed side.

Cliffs of Moher. The less photographed side.

On our recent trip to Ireland, we spent several days near the west coast. One day, we drove into The Burren, an area made up of huge limestone pavements with fissures in them. The mountains and the flat areas are covered in rock. It's a haunting sight, like a lunar landscape...
